'Do your jewelries discolor?'

Gold and silver are precious metals with a high price tag. The main question I asked myself regarding jewelry was whether I could sell affordable, good-quality jewelry. Almost all NOUKX jewelry is made of stainless steel. There are also, for example, bead jewelry pieces, which are made from Miyuki beads. The finish, however, is stainless steel. At events, I often get asked, or rather hear the comment; ''That will surely discolour!''. This is because people are used to plated jewelry. This is metal, usually with a gold plating, that discolours quickly when it comes into contact with water. In this blog, I want to explain what stainless steel is as a metal and what its advantages are. Yes, you really can buy affordable, good-quality jewelry!

Stainless steel

All our jewelry is made of stainless steel. The advantage of stainless steel is that it retains its metal color. So your gold-colored jewelry will remain gold, and your silver-colored jewelry will remain silver. You can keep your stainless steel jewelry on while showering and swimming. Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, chromium, and carbon. They have a gold or silver plating over it. Stainless steel jewelry has many advantages:
  • Stainless steel jewelry does not discolour. So you can shower, swim, or exercise (sweat) with it.
  • Stainless steel is 100% allergy-free. This is useful if you have sensitive skin, for example, because then you can simply wear stainless steel jewelry.
  • Stainless steel is a durable material, so it lasts a long time. In addition, stainless steel is 100% recyclable, which is good for our environment.
  • Stainless steel is very strong. So it can take a beating.
Stainless steel jewelry is therefore jewelry that we can offer at an affordable price. In addition, it is 100% allergy-free, and you can shower, swim, and exercise with it. This makes NOUKX jewelry a good investment, as it also lasts a long time. I do advise you not to keep your jewelry in chlorine, as chlorine is the only substance that can cause your jewelry to discolour.
